Heroes Night Out is a non-profit, community-based organization that is dedicated to providing resources and services to Veterans, Service Members, and their families in a safe, family-friendly environment. Service member assistance, support, counseling, and information are provided at no cost. We are located in Cedar Park, in Williamson County, Texas.
Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel
The Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel (VSPC) was founded to try to save veteran’s lives by broadcasting healing shows to our nation’s veterans who are presently committing suicide at the rate of 23 veterans a day.
OUR MISSION is to work towards saving and improving the lives of America’s veterans, their family members and supporters by creating a national broadcast channel that will air healing, educational, entertaining and resource information shows intended to benefit America’s veterans nationwide in order to prevent suicides and promote mental, emotional and physical healing.
AVA Fest
AVAFEST is a non-profit initiative dedicated to supporting veterans through the healing power of the arts. Addressing the challenges veterans face, like PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, AVAFEST unites them with communities via diverse artistic mediums, from visual arts to dance and music. Beyond celebration, the festival promotes mental well-being, fostering connectivity, tolerance, and love, aiming to alleviate emotional struggles within the veteran community.
American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach
The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) offers a range of vital services to veterans. We are dedicated to making a positive impact. Our programs assists veterans in finding meaningful opportunities in life.
Samaritan Center
The Samaritan Center has been serving individuals and families in Central Texas since 1974. We envision a healthy and compassionate community where every individual achieves mental, physical, spiritual and social well-being. We heal hearts, provide hope, and enhance lives with a holistic approach to mental health for all ages, whole families and the military community.
Military Veteran Peer Network
The MVPN is made of TVC-Certified Peer Service Coordinators and their peer volunteers strategically placed within the local mental health authorities across Texas to create a statewide peer-to-peer network for any service member, veteran, or family member. The MVPN provides services including direct peer-to-peer support, training on suicide prevention and military cultural competency, coordination of mental health first aid, and warm-handoffs to local resources based on the individual needs of the veteran and family.
